Santi Cazorla will be taking to the 178th North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham wearing his own evoTOUCH Derby Fever boots on the 6th November 2016. The Arsenal’s midfield maestro will lace up a new Derby Fever boot from puma for Arsenal’s North London clash against Tottenham this Sunday. Although Cazorla picked up an achilles injury playing in the Champions League 6-0 win over Ludogorets he is expected to be fit again for the big head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium. The new Derby Fever Pack from Puma is a collection of graphic boots that the German football brand will be giving to their top players to wear during their own derby.





 Santi Cazorla’s football boot features the Arsenal colours along with special graphic elements that highlight the derby, such as at the front of the lace line the words North London Derby are printed in white block lettering and a round Derby Fever motif is on the outside of each boot. The graphics are designed on the Puma the evoTOUCH which approaches the concept of touch from the inside out, rather than starting with the moment of contact with the ball. Puma focused on what the foot needs and doesn’t need.

Ultra Thin K-TOUCH Leather Upper

In hand and of course on foot, you can’t help but notice the super soft leather. The entire forefoot, all the way to the outside of the heel counter is one piece of very thin leather. 

It’s probably the softest leather we’ve felt on a boot upper and being so thin, there’s the benefit of keeping the boot light, just 210 grams. 

With the leather being so thin it also means that your touch on the ball is very natural.

 

evoKNIT Sock and Collar

 

Inside the thin leather upper is the woven evoKNIT sock. Your foot immerses totally into the sock which gives you a super snug fit. Puma even say you can play in the boot without football socks, so if your thing is cutting your regular sock and wearing an ankle sock, perhaps this is another solution.

The sock has GripTex, a new technology which helps prevent your foot from slipping in the boot. This is found on the base of the boot and on the back of the heel.

Puma’s outsole for the evoTOUCH sees a Speedtrack spine running from front to back, which you may know from the evoSPEED and conical studs

To celebrate the launch, Puma has also released a new virtual reality film called “Create Gravity,” which offers you an immersive 360 degree insight into the creation of the evoTOUCH process.
